Venue: Aladdin Jr
Here was an awesome show that I've been looking forward to for a while. I arrived at the venue at 7pm to get my hand stamp for the show and went to the bar next door for a few hours to get some amazing Belgian beers while I waited for the good bands to go on. I went back to Aladdin Jr around 9 to get ready for Holy. I have been listening to their album The Age of Collapse a bit lately and was really stoked they were playing. They are an awesome hardcore band from Italy. I think everyone should check them out. It's one of my favorite albums from this year. They played a little over 20 minutes. I was in the back of the room and was going crazy the entire time. I recognized every song played but I didn't know the names of the songs to get a setlist. It was a great set. I wanted to get a Holy shirt but I spent the last of my money on a Coke Bust shirt.
Up next was Punch. I threw my phone and wallet in my car so I could go all out for Punch. I've been waiting about 5 years for Punch to come down here. I missed out on their last show cause I didn't know about it. It was seriously like an oven in there when they were playing. It was 100 degrees outside, so a closed room packed with hardcore kids just made it hot and smelly and stinky. I was soaked in sweat as soon as they started and was going crazy the entire time. I got kicked in the head a few times and people crowd surfed, but I didn't care. After the set, the singer gave me a setlist so here it is
If Not Me
No Such Thing
Not So Posi
Up next was Coke Bust from DC. I missed their last few shows in CA and was stoked to finally see them. It seemed like half of the room left for them, which was a shame cause I was prepared for people to go even more crazy. They also played a short set. I asked the singer for a setlist after and he handed me the only one, so sorry for the inaccuracy. The thing that made me laugh was that the Coke Bust setlist was written on a Budweiser box.
They are a straight edge band.
Leave Me Behind
Pain And Suffering
Fuck Bar Culture
*no idea, it was on the setlist
