Diamond Head -- Montreal, Quebec -- April 15th, 2013

When I bought my ticket at Foufones Electriques, I saw that the ticket had a nice print on it. Great souvenir!

I got in the venue at 8pm. The first band Bucranium was scheduled for 7:30pm. They started at 8pm. I assume they are a local band to Montreal. They had a groovy doom rock sound. By the end of their set they were cooking. Too bad they only had a half an hour. The only song title I remember is Train.

Buffalo Thoery MTL was next. I got the set list I will transpose;

1000 Times
Heavy Ride
New Song- 1,2,3...
Buffalo Therory MTL
Du Metal

They were very Corrosion-esque. I really liked the guitar tone. I enjoyed Heavy Ride the most. They have their music on bandcamp. Pretty good overall.

During Cauldron's preparation for the set I noticed the guitar player had an Angel Witch shirt. I had a feeling they were going to be a NWOBHM band. I am unfamiliar with their songs but I will post what I thought they played;

Conjure The Mass
Dreams Die Young
Frozen In Fire
Taken By Desire
Summoned To Succumb
End Of Time
Autumn Twilight
Die Hard

I really liked these guys. Autumn Twilight was the second song they played and it was AWESOME! They did a great job!! It sounded so good! Die Hard was really great also!

I am surprised one of the guys didn't wear a Maple Leafs or Agronaut's jersey just to get the fans going!

On came Diamond Head!! They played for 90 minutes!

Play It Loud
I Feel No Pain
Dead Reckoning
Come Alive
To Heaven From Hell
In The Heat Of The Night
Shoot Out The Lights
It's Electric
Give It To Me
Sucking My Love
Prey For Me
The Prince
Am I Evil

Lightning To The Nations

I liked so many aspects. First, the sound and mix was great! The song selection was good. I liked the songs from 2005 and 2007. The band was having a great time! I am glad I had a chance to see them.

The merch was ok. DH's shirts were $20. But they were black and white shirts with dates and a not so great design on front. DH also had a patch, picks, and a snare head.

With so many choices of shows this month I am glad I chose this show.
