Acid Deth Kvlt- sludgy black metal that I found unremarkable
Mikhail- younger death metal that seemed to go all over the place, but has potential.
Cannabis Corpse dropped off (at least this night) at the last minute, so I was disappointed because I kind of wanted to see them. But Nile's 2 sets more than made up for it, IMO.
I was expecting them to do a 'Night with Nile' a ala Amon Amarth and play their new album, then some old songs. I believe they played songs from every album, and it seemed like a nice variety. I'm not a hardcore Nile fan, so they can weigh in on that, but IMO it sounded good.
Sonically, Nile sounded very good. Sometimes the lead was a bit conflicting with the drums, but other than that it was fine. The crowd had some pits going, as expected- pretty wild. There were a couple guys in Hawaiian shirts AND SHORTS that seemed a bit intoxicated and were constantly in the pit.
