Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies, Arctic Monkeys : Orion Music + More Fest Night 1 - June 23

Our day started off w/ the 8-hour drive down to AC. As soon as we got the hotel my buddy hit the casino, lost $500 within an hour, while I pre-gamed (bad idea). We got to the festival just in time for Suicidal Tendencies. Have always been a casual fan of theirs and had never seen them live. When they actually play songs, instead of 10 minute bass jams, they were awesome. Mike can still put on a good show, and sounds great for being almost 50. Rob Trujillo came out and played a few songs too. My buddy is an Arctic Monkeys fan, so we checked them out. I was pleasantly suprised, as I thought they were really good, actually. The crowd loved them, and there was tons of energy. Metallica took the stage and played Ride The Lightning in it's entirety, which included the premier of Escape. The video intro to The Call of Ktulu was sweet, and I think the videos capture the atmosphere, as there was a lot of movement, and the crowd was decent. Was a great, historic show. Afterwards, my buddy and I hit a strip club and had a pleasant suprised. Who was the featured dancer? None other than the great Gina Lynn. Not a huge fan of hers, but it was nice to watch her shake her ass.
