все is "all" but applies to objects and people. всё means the same thing but usually applies to abstract concepts and ideas. Obviously both have their exceptions (as with almost any rule in Russian).

...Apparently I share a name with someone on the site.
So if I were to say "all will be well", for example, would I use "все будет хорошо" or "всё будет хорошо"...or is it one of those things that depends entirely on context?
