Michael Schenker came to the far (from me) off House of Rock in Whitemarsh, MD
The crowd numbered about 230 people, in a place that is the same capacity of Jaxx/Empire (around 550), but it looked bigger. Crowd was receptive and cheering, but not very...mobile.
Michael sounded great, as always. Some songs sounded a little muddy, but I did forget my earplugs, so the jury is still out on that. The singer he brought to replace Robin McAuley - David Van Landing- was apparently from Baltimore. My friend remembered him from 20 years and probably 100 pounds ago. I thought he sounded powerful and good- but she had a different opinion. Perhaps his trying to emulate 4 different singers (Mogg, Barden, McAuley, Meine) thew things off a bit for her.
Schenker and co played a little over a solid hour, no encore break. It seemed to go quick, and I def could have used more.
He had nearly the same setlist as when he came to Empire/Jaxx in March. I kinda wanted more MSG songs, but I really can't complain about
Michael doing UFO songs.
