I was thrown off by the reaction of the crowd. All of the times I've seen The Faceless in the past it was like any other metal show; there would be lots of pitting and headbanging. Not this time. The pit was miniscule, and few people were doing more than a slight head nod. It seemed that people were more interested in watching Michael Keene's technical prowess than letting loose. I would have enjoyed it more if the crowd showed some more enthusiasm.
I was actually surprised for the opposite reason. In Milwaukee The Faceless rivaled Cannibal Corpse for the biggest pits of the night. Every other time I saw them, they had barely any movement.
