Trespass America Tour -- Rochester Hills, MI -- August 4th, 2012
Battlecross opened the show. They're from Michigan, and this was the first time I'd seen them in a few years. They were awesome! I don't remember them being this good.
Next up was God Forbid, and they killed it, particularly for the short set that they got.
God Forbid Setlist
Don't Tell Me What to Dream
The End of the World
Emmure was next. I've seen them 5 or 6x now, and I do not like anything about them. NEXT!
Trivium, like God Forbid, did the best they could w/ such a short set. They cot the crowd into it a lot, Durring "Rain" their bassist came up and played on the lawn. That was pretty cool.
Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr
Caustic are the Ties That Bind
Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis
Throes of Perdition
Next up was Killswitch Engage. I was super-psyched to see them b/c I hadn't seen them since they toured w/ Phil from All That Remains on vocals a few years ago, and also this was my 1st time seeing them w/ Jesse on vocals. On top of that, a friend of mine snuck me down to about the 10th row for their set. Bonus! Anyway, KsE surpassed all of my expectations. They were amazing! I've seen KsE at least 10x, and this was probably the best set I've ever seen them play. I want to see them again RIGHT NOW!
Killswitch Engage Setlist
Rose of Sharyn
Fixation On The Darkness
No End In Sight (new song)
This Is Absolution
A Bid Farewell
Life to Lifeless
My Last Serenade
The End of Heartache
Five Finger Death Punch headlined, but I didn't stay for their set b/c I went to see Taproot at a bar in Warren, MI. As it turns out, Taproot didn't hit the stage until 11:30pm, so I could've watched most of 5FDP and not missed Taproot, but I didn't want to miss any of Taproot, and I had no idea they'd go on so late. Oh well. I'm not a big 5FDP fan anyway. I was there for KsE, Trivium & God Forbid, and their sets were all fantastic.
