If you saw "Speedwolf" on the top of the webpage, and were unfamiliar with them, go educate yourself. I'll wait.

So I found out that Speedwolf is on tour, and you best believe I made myself present. Show was late as hell (9pm doors) so I just showed up at 11pm. There was a Chicago-hipsterish-doom band setting up as I walked in, Swan King, but the had some cool riffs despite how predisposed I was to hating them. Bought some Speedwolf merch, secured it in my car, then came back as Speedwolf finished setting up, and slinked into the front.

The next half-hour or so was spent in furious headbanging in the overly-hot club, ended up drenched with sweat by the end of the eponymous song. They ripped through a couple more, before announcing they were gonna do some covers. The first was a Venom tune that I cannot for the life of me remember, and the second was of course The Hammer, which was on the B-Side of Ace of Spades. Someone yelled "I Am the Demon" and the singer shrugged at the drummer, who launched into it. Thinking they were running out of time they announced their last song, Denver 666 (which is just as awesome as the title). Finished up, started to strike down when they get informed they still have a few minutes.

Armed with this information, I did the only thing a sensible person would: screamed "I CAN'T FUCKIN' DIIIIEEEEE".

Which was played thusly. That, unfortunately, was the last song of the set, and after taking a breather, headed back north to brag about it on the internet.
