Review :

Just from the beginning of Autre Temps you can tell this album is beyond words. The opening track “Autre Temps” is beautiful in every which way , shape, and form. The guitars are perfect in the mix and the clean vocals add a chilling sound to it that is just relaxing and calming. Next up is “Là Où Naissent Les Couleurs Nouvelles” which starts off again beautiful to say the least. Then halfway through the song the heavy vocals start. Yet somehow they don’t change the song. It remains the same. Beautiful , elegant, yet relaxing. Again the clean vocals really shine though in the song. Although on “Les Voyages de L’âme” the vocals stand out from the beginning. Their so good its chilling almost. The mixture of heavy and soft in the song only makes it better too. “Nous Sommes L’emeraude” is the perfect calming song and the guitar riffs on here make it memorable. I actually found myself just sitting here listening to this and staring into space just listening it and relaxing. Its mind blowing that a song can make you can do that. “Beings of Light” starts off with a angelic sound to it then bursts right into blast beats and a heavy sound while remaining angelic at the same time. “Faiseurs de Mondes” has some beautiful guitar work during it and the clean vocals about 3/4ths through it mixed with the guitar is amazing. Right after the part though it breaks into blast beats and some amazing guitar work. “Havens” sounds like something from a movie just before they would go into war. Its beautiful and really sets a scene. Lastly “Summer’s Glory” closes the album with a perfect mixture or soft and mellow mixed with heavy and loud. Its almost hard to review this cd though as words can’t describe these songs or the cd in general. Everything is put together to a perfection and sounds like no other. I cannot recommend this album enough and even though 2012 has just began I have no doubt this will be one of the year’s greatest albums.

Score 10/10
