20. Primus - Green Naughahyde
When I first sat down to listen to this record, I really wasn't sure what to expect, but that's nothing unusual about sitting down to a Primus record. What followed was a dam good listen, and a record that I continue to try and figure out more and more every time I listen to it. Les Claypool's song-writing is on perfect form, as are the rest of the band, and it actually felt really refreshing to hear a band as old as Primus progress in all the right places, while still retaining their identity musically, and releasing what is one of their best records, in my opinion. Larry LaLonde is still as tasteful as ever, only adding to the madness, instead of trying to outdo or directly keep up with Les, both of which would be a fruitless task. This is just a joyous, happy listen from start to finish.
