Wrong. They didn't take the name, Cronos left to form his solo band. Actually, Mantas had already left at that point as well, but came back once he knew Cronos was out. So yeah, they "toured with scabs", only two original members of Venom
The Mpire of Evil singer/bassist did three albums with them between '89 and '92. All of which are good. The drummer, Antton, was in the band between 2000 and 2008, also recording three albums.
