Cianide - Gods of Death
The first time I heard Cianide was when I was checking out all the bands from the ROD lineup. Sadly, I didn't like what I heard. That wasn't surprising though, as I don't consider myself a death-doom fan. But this album is fuckin' great. It's got that sorta-murky/bass-heavy sound found in death-doom, but aside from a few parts, I don't hear much doom. Just really, really solid and well-executed death metal. I'm not sure how else to describe it. It's got a distinct guitar tone for death metal but I'm pretty sure I've heard it before. Check it out for yourself!
