"He might have been NBA today but instead I watched his life fall" - Kool G Rap

Let me get something out of the way folks. I'm a big hip hop head. I love metal but I am a hip hop purist and When it comes to lyrics and MCING this guy is the fucking king. Nathaniel Thomas Wilson AKA Kool G Rap is THEEE greatest hip hop lyricist of all time. Everyone comes next but Kool G Rap will always be the greatest hip hop mc of all time. People like Nas and Raekwon have said many times(even on the back of their album covers)on how Kool G Rap inspired them and how he was a huge influence on the "Mafiaso'" Rap and gang story telling that hit the hip hop genre hard during the early and mid 90s(especially in New york by mcs such as Mobb deep, Rae and ghost, nas ect). This is just one of a couple that you will see on this list. This is his first solo album. Its really great and has some stand outs laced with lots of earie dark grimey beats. One thing I love about this record is it has this dark vibe that sticks from start of the track to the depressing "For Da Brothaz" all the way to the final remix with Dr Butcher. That gritty 95 dark east new york shit that I just fuckin' love.. People, check it out.

For Da Brothaz Everyone should listen to this song. Forget hip hop. This is one of the best songs ever made...period. Sad and fucking real. and that beat is so fucking gritty...
