They should've booked it a month sooner and lowered the price a bit so that more people would have been able to make it.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head. The new albums have sold really well (Nightmare debuted at number 1 on the Bilboard), but it seems less people are at their shows now. I saw them in 2006 with Coheed and Cambria at an arena in Rhode Island and it was sold out.
