Actually, the B.C. stands for Britich Columbia (which is where the band is based), which was added to distinguish them from another band(s) with the name "Bison".

Mumakil is the name of the beast pictured on the album cover - it's from the Lord of the Rings. It's also some damned good grindcore, too.
