yeah once a death/metalcore band abandons a lot of their -core influence, a lot of their scene fans don't like them anymore, like how a lot of scene kids hated As I Lay Dying's An Ocean Between Us. it's pretty lame. but at least both JFAC and AILD are appealing more to the metal fanbase now.
