That middle section is utterly hilarious. I get what Tobi was trying to do, but poor execution.
I think Ripper sounds completely wrong on any fast trad./power metal. He sings great, of course, but he doesn't suit it at all. I think it has a lot to do with the vocal melody they've written. It's too slow. Those verses need to be short lines, bitten off to match the fast riff. They've focused too much of getting Tim to hold the notes and what he's singing doesn't fit the music. Which is exactly the problem with Charred Walls of The Damned, now that I think about it.
I haven't heard the Malmsteen album with Tim, but I'm not expecting to enjoy it.
