So I'm up in the city earlier this afternoon at like 4 with my friend checking out the Haight Street Fair. We're at Shaxul Records, and as I'm paying for some used LPs we overhear these guys talking somethin bout Death Angel playing down on the other end of Haight (they block off the street and have a stage for music on both ends, it's like 5 or 6 blocks long party). We thought they were kidding, but lo and behold we walk down the street and with techno blasting there's Death Angel setting up. At exactly 4:20 they start playing and a huge pit opens up. Beautiful fuckin day in the city, 70 degrees and sunny, watching Death Angel play for free in the middle of the street, hella tight. Crowd was awesome, band was totally on fire, and they played "Falling Asleep". It was a very San Francisco event, Mark was talkin bout how they recorded Frolic In The Park just up the street an shit, hella old schoolers were in attendance, and even the clueless hipsters seemed to love it too which was awesome. Can't remember what the first song they played was but here's the rest....
Seemingly Endless Time
The Ultra Violence medley
Thrown To The Wolves
If you wanna live on the best coast you better try an move to the west coast
EDIT: I should also mention that the bassist and drummer were both white boys, I guess they changed members since last year. Both were great though.
