Jane's Addiction -- Camden, NJ -- June 5th, 2009

Street Sweeper Social Club, the new band featuring Tom Morello (RATM, Audioslave), opened the show. I had no idea what to expect from them but I was pleasantly surprised and I think a lot of other people were too. I will probably check out their CD which comes out later this month.

Street Sweeper Social Club
Fight! Smash! Win!
Somewhere In The World It's Midnight
Paper Planes [M.I.A. cover]
The Oath
100 Little Curses
Nobody Moves (Til We Say Go)

Nine Inch Nails was next. I'm not a huge Nine Inch Nails fan, but they were the main reason I went to this show after seeing them twice last year. This experience was completely different. The light show was very stripped down compared to last year. The setlist featured 3 cover songs and several obscure older songs, and lacked their big hits like "Closer" and "Hurt". I applaud their efforts to completely switch things up, and I thought it was a great performance.

Nine Inch Nails
The Beginning Of The End
March of the Pigs
The Line Begins To Blur
The Big Come Down
Head Down
Gave Up
Metal [Gary Numan cover]
Banged And Blown Through [Saul Williams cover]
The Downward Spiral
Mr. Self Destruct
The Day The World Went Away
Physical (You're So) [Adam Ant cover]
The Hand That Feeds
Head Like A Hole

A lot of people left after Nine Inch Nails, but I decided to stick around for Jane's Addiction even though I'm not really a fan of their music. They took the stage after a very short set change (15 minutes). Even though I didn't really like their music, I thought they sounded good. If you do happen to like Jane's Addiction I would recommend seeing them live.
