Oh man what a show!!!!
I was there at the rail, in front of one of the mics for the whole show!!
I went to the venue at like 8 in the morning cos I wanted to be totally sure of the spot on the rail

And I sure did get it!
Met an Aussie guy at the show who has come from Australia for all the 6 Cal shows. I had my Ride The Lightning flag and he had his Aussie flag up the whole time. That felt gr8!

It sure was a long wait but totally, totally worth it.
The Sword were ok .. I liked their closing song a lot. It was great headbanging fun
Loved Lamb Of God

Their new songs sound coool. I honestly knew only Laid to rest and Walk With Me, but since I got hold of their setlist which was taped on the stage, here is the whole list
Hourglass
Laid To Rest

Walk With Me In Hell

Ruin
Dead Seeds
Something To Die For
Omerta
Redneck
Black Label
After that it was time .. time for the Ecstasy of gold!!! The place from where the band went onto stage was right in front of us! We saw it all .. the band coming in, Kirk and James picking up their guitars and then running onto the stage. They sounded awesome tonight. Really did. In the pit the vocals were not sounding loud enough though. My friends in the seats told me the sound was great. And anyway we knew each and every word of Metallica's songs so the vocals didn't need to be loud
James came to the mic on our side to sing almost the whole of Sanitarium and Nothing Else Matters, and Kirk played the Master Of Puppets solo on our side, which made my day all the better
It was so much fun that I felt the show flew by too fast!
Anyway here's the list:
That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Ride The Lightning
For Whom The Bell Tolls
One
Broken, Beat & Scarred
Cyanide
Sad But True
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
All Nightmare Long
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Blackened
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
------------------
Stone Cold Crazy
Whiplash
Seek and Destroy
All in all, amazing show, amazing setlist, made great new friends, got a beach ball and a setlist!

Monday in San Diego will be much much better ... as I am getting to meet the band
Will post San Diego review too. Cheers.
