The Eagles -- Tulsa, OK -- November 11th, 2008

The Eagles may not necessarily qualify as "metal" to some on here but really if you aren't interested you wouldn't be reading this would you? It took some searching but I believe that this is pretty much spot on what they played last night. This was alot better than what I had originally thought. Best part, no opening band just The Eagles playing for almost 3 hours. It was easy to see that the newer songs off of Long Road Out Of Eden didn't really go over with the crowd all that well with the exception of a few. It's really amazing how many musicians they actually have on stage with them. They have horn players, piano players, keyboards, an extra percussionist and several more. They are all wonderful musicians and I guess I didn't know how good Joe Walsh was, I would put him right up there w/ the Wyldes, Iommi's, Gibbons and others that I have seen. They seem to lose me when they go into their more mellow songs and their enviromental songs. I was also impressed that they played the big hits off of the solo projects of everybody in the band as well. A highly recommended show if you can afford the tickets.
