Buckethead -- Philadelphia, PA -- October 9th, 2008

The show was at the T.L.A. on South Street. There was also a punk show one block down the street at J.C. Dobbs, and the Philadelphia Phillies playing game 1 of the NLCS across town (which they won). Definitely a magical night to be in Philadelphia.

Start time on the ticket was 9:00pm. The opening act was That 1 Guy and he started right on time. In case you couldn't deduce from the name, he's a one-man band. I had never heard of him before, but I definitely enjoyed his set. He played until about 10:00pm. Songs included Weasel Potpie and Buttmachine (and others of course).

There was a long wait in between acts, then finally Buckethead took the stage around 10:45pm. He was FUCKING LOUD. Be sure to take earplugs if you're going to see him. There was also a lot of moshing, which I thought was odd for Buckethead's music. The show was great though. Here's the setlist:

Night Of The Slunk
Ghost Host
Gory Head Stump
The Redeem Team
Fountains Of The Forgotten
Oakridge Cake
We Can Rebuild Him
Dance & Toys
Computer Master
Revenge Of The Doubleman
Foxy Lady
Jowls (w/ extended solo containing "Star Wars" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" excerpts)
Siege Engine
Asylum Of Glass
Battery Cage Brawls
Buckethead's Toystore
(30-minute jam with That 1 Guy)
Welcome To Bucketheadland
