I'd like to add an album to my honorable mentions: "Colors" by Between the Buried and Me. The mixing of different genres is refreshing (the accordian breakdown on "Prequel to the Sequel??" Totally ridiculous!), and it still has plenty of balls. I can't say that I'm 100% sold on the vocals at this point, but they usually work. Overall, it's a solid album by a band that I would have never listened to ordinarily because their name just screams "cliched shitty metalcore," and it may have made my top 10 had I bothered to check it out earlier.
Fuck it, I'm bored so I'll add some commentary to my honorable mentions category.
"COLONEL KLINK, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!"
