He never seemed very comfortable on stage. Van Drunen didn't mention anything about the Houston gig.
Looking back at that video, Death wasn't quite as bad as I remembered, but they were so much...

Death -- San Antonio, TX -- October 12th, 1990
I was a sophomore at the University of Texas and the host of the metal show on the campus radio station at the time. I had set up an interview with Martin van Drunen of Pestilence, so a...

Death -- Vienna, Austria -- February 28th, 1992
Spring term didn't start until the beginning of March, so I took the opportunity to travel throughout February, but I made sure that I returned to Vienna for this show. I had seen Death a couple of...

Mordred -- Vienna, Austria -- October 28th, 1991
Ah, funk metal. Don't deny it, if you were a metal fan in the late 80's, early 90's you rocked some of this crap along side your Slayer and Megadeth. Remember Ignorance? 24-7 Spyz? Atom Seed?...

Coroner -- Vienna, Austria -- October 18th, 1991
I spent my “junior-year abroad” in Vienna in 1991-1992 and had the good fortune to see a slew of awesome metal shows, mostly at the long-gone but not forgotten suburban venue, the aptly dubbed das...
