The guys who made the game Dead Space have announced their next project. Apparently they're going to make a game adaptation of Dante's Inferno instead of a sequal to Dead Space.

“The time is right for the world of interactive entertainment to adapt this literary masterpiece, and to re-introduce Dante to an audience that, until now, may have been unfamiliar with the remarkable details of this great work of art. It’s the perfect opportunity to fuse great gameplay with great story.” -Jonathan Knight, executive producer for Dante’s Inferno.

I don't know if theyre planning to make the game accurate to the book, or if theyre going to simply base the plot on it. There wasnt really any fighting in the story so I'd imagine the gameplay would be a bit boring, but personally I wouldn't care if they decided to make it combat oriented. A huge boss battle against lucifer would be epic.

If you have any doubts that these guys can make a scary game then you should play Dead Space, you will shit brix.

Play as an EA executive trying to capitalize on the recent success of the action genre.

you play as dante and fight your way through hell. so far the artwork looks amazing, and the gameplay seems like god of war. this should be really fun to play once it comes out.

Dante didn't "fight" through anything. :lol: But this game should be badass in a Diablo sorta way.
