i'm no opeth fan, but that seems like it'd be HELLA LONG. did they not have huge long songs back in 2k3?

I thought so too until I really looked at it. The main part of the set is actually their "Damnation" album from front to back, which is only 43 minutes, and then the encore (not counting the Deep Purple cover, the length of which I really don't know) is about 24 minutes. Looks like it was a great show, though. |
It was like an hour and a half...the deep purple cover is standard length. They also did the beginning part of Harvest somewhere in the set (until the vox kick in). This was also their first tour with a keyboard player.

I love Opeth, but still ... no heavy songs at all are on that setlist. Wow

On this tour in Austria they also played Harvest at the end of the show |

It was the damnation tour, they were up front about the fact when they were promoting the tour that no heavy material would be played. Steven Wilson said during the show that this is one of the rare occasions that they could play with a metal band and be the heaviest band on the bill |
