Opeth -- Toronto, Cananda -- May 24th, 2008
 

I was gutted when I found out that Progressive Nation wasn't coming to Toronto, but when I found out that Opeth and 3 were doing an offdate here I got my tickets right away.

Local band Deathmarch opend the show. Nothing really special, just basic death metal. They got a pretty good reaction from the crowd and a small mosh pit.

3 were up next, this was my second time seeing them. They were the main reason I went and they did not disappoint! I was right up front for their set and it was amazing. They performed a flawless 50 minute set and the only thing I didn't like were the fucking stupid moshers. Who the fuck moshes to 3? Anyways, after their set they said they were going to be at their merch stand to meet up with the fans so I went down there and met all the guys and got pictures with them! I'll post them later on. Opeth were next and they put an a great show as usual. This was my third time seeing them, and probably was the best I've seen so far. Mike did his usual joking around inbetween songs. At one point, they played the intro to Black Rose Immortal and he said "That was the intro to Black Rose Immortal, no we are not playing it" DON'T FUCKING TEASE US LIKE THAT MIKE :lol: They did a solid 1 hour, 45 minute set:

Damn...I would have loved to see that offdate. You got Alien Angel and These Iron Bones, which I was pissed I didnt get at Prog Nation.
