The Black Dahlia Murder -- Lawrence, KS -- February 8th, 2008
What a way to kick off the 2008 concert season.
Decrepit Birth and 3 Inches of Blood didn't show, and for pretty shitty reasons. The first band to play was local band Hester Prynne. They were a generic deathcore band, and were nothing special. 4/10 After them were LOCAL band (from Lawrence) The Cast Pattern. They were better. I like to think of them as an old-school hardcore band. Maybe? I don't know. 6/10 I was psyched out of my mind for Hate Eternal. It was unbelievable. I knew every song (except for the last). They fucking played Catacombs. I don't fucking believe it. One of the highlights of my concert-attending career. Setlist: Bringer Of Storms Behold Judas Catacombs Powers That Be I, Monarch King Of All Kings To Know Our Enemys (possibly) 9/10 I was actually going to leave after Hate Eternal, but my friends wanted me to stay for The Black Dahlia Murder. I'm glad I did. They put on a very energetic show, and I'll definitely start listening to them now. The crowd was insane, too. Some of the songs I remember: When The Last Grave Has Emptied Flies Statutory Ape (was awesome) A Vulgar Picture Miasma Everything Went Black What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse Nocturnal 8/10 Overall: 8/10 |
THE BDM
Black Dahlia Kicks ass dude welcome to the club
I have hung and drunk with them at various shows thay are very approchable. Did you notice their merch is a little cheaper than usual? 15$ for t shirts here in NYC thats unheard of. they are not trying to gouge us fans and squeeze every last buck out of us they can, they are trying to win fans and support. Fuck Yeah:light: |
