Yeah, I only paid attention for the bands there I liked, and skipped Hatebreed, Static-X, Lamb of God, and Ozzy altogether (watched Lordi out of curiosity):

3IOB and Nile both fucking slayed, and I got them to sign my shit. So it was worth it for that. Behemoth and Cthtonic were both pretty decent live. And uh, other than that, sucked. kthxbi.

And yeah, that was perplexing, but they fucking slaughtered nonetheless.

One of the weirdest concert experiences of my life. It was so hot that you could only watch the bands you liked and everything else sorta fell on deaf ears. I spent 20 bucks on drinks and 5 on a patch. 3IOB were amazing, and I got my poster and lyric book signed as well. We were still in line at the FYE booth when Nile came on, but it was still enjoyable. Chthonic actually surprised me, even though I came in wanting to see them.

After 3IOB left the FYE booth, Shane and Nick (bassist) walked around a little bit. Shane gave me a head nod ("whassup") as he walked past, and so did Nick. Then Nick came up behind me and told me I had a "fucking sweet Dio patch man."

Shane signed my poster as "Sheign in Blood" with four inverted crosses :lol:

Oh..I was just on the Ozzfest message board, and in the Columbus thread, some guy was saying that he brought one of the Thelema holy books with him and had Nergal sign it. :lol: That would've been killer to witness his reaction.

Oh, and an interesting note: Karl Sanders didn't do any vocals during Nile's set; the bassist and other guitarist did them all.
