Y&T -- Cranston, RI -- April 8th, 2014

Night #3. 1150 Oak Bar & Grill. Cranston, Rhode Island.

Due to both of my usual ways of accessing 93 south being closed (one for road work, one for a squashed pedestrian), it took the better part of 2 hours to get from Somerville to Cranston. I arrived just as the band was finishing up soundcheck. I knew this was going to be a good one simply because of the venue. It is fucking TINY. 150, maybe 175 capacity.

Performance wise, Dave & co. speak for themselves. 2 hours of nonstop, in your face rock n roll, played absolutely flawlessly.

(9:00PM-10:59PM)

From The Moon (intro tape)
1. Hurricane
2. Don't Stop Runnin'
3. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
4. Mean Streak
5. Surrender
6. Dirty Girl
7. Midnight in Tokyo
8. Black Tiger
9. Winds of Change
10. Shine On
11. I Want Your Money
12. Contagious
13. I'll Cry For You
14. Rock N' Roll's Gonna Save The World
15. Rescue Me
16. Summertime Girls
17. I'm Coming Home
18. I Believe In You
19. Forever

This is kind of amazing that you are hitting all These Y&T shows-
are you up front/ do they recognize you or are you staying in the back?

Y&T does rule live

I was in back for both Londonderry shows, but I met them in the parking lot beforehand, so they recognized me when I showed up at Rhode Island.

That'll probably be my final one for 2014 unless they add some more dates later in the year. I'd go pretty much anywhere within a reasonable driving distance to see them. One of the most, if not the most, underrated rock band ever.
