RIP To Harold Ramis

This sucks. Ghostbusters has been my favorite movie as a child. Plus he did so many other great movies. He was 69.

Great actor and director, Caddyshack is one of my favorite comedies of all-time. He will be sorely missed.

Groundhog Day and Caddyshack are wonderful movies, and he had a wonderful career outside of that. RIP.

This really sucks and is one of the few celebrity deaths (outside of music) to hit me hard. I grew up watching his movies and Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes, and Back to School are still movies I watch again at least once every single year. RIP Harold, you are sorely missed.

So many great movies he has been a part of. They have already been listed here, but if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have the humor that I have now.

R.i.P.

He's really one of those few people who hit it out of the park with so many movies early on in his career that helped define 80s comedies. It's amazing he could have lived off those early movies and could have stopped working 30 years ago but he just kept on.

I'm sad as well because as much as I knew a 3rd Ghostbusters might have really sucked I wanted to see it just to see those guys all together again and take my son (almost 9) who loves those first 2 movies who I saw myself in because I was fanatical after that first came out. I wonder if maybe they might do it to honor him. Even though it wouldn't be the same.

I've been bummed out ever since I heard the news yesterday. Harold Ramis was truly a comedic mastermind all the way back to SCTV. So many of his movies are such classics and such a part of my youth that they have become embedded in my lexicon. And no other director could harness the genius of Rodney Dangerfield the way Ramis did in Caddyshack and Back to School.

I'm certainly going to miss the guy.
