Amon Amarth -- Atlanta, GA -- January 24th, 2014

Almost the same setlist as the other shows, but Skeletonwitch cut a song (Burned from Bone), but I'm not too familiar with that one so not that big of a deal. Skeletonwitch did put on one hell of a show though, and a damn good way to start the night off. 8/10

Enslaved's set stayed the same, but the biggest complaints I have about their sets are opening with mid-paced songs and then going to faster songs. It should be the other way around. Another thing, why aren't they playing Thoughts like Hammer? I know that's a ten minute song, but that's probably their most well known song off the new album. This tour hit New Orleans the night before, and it showed because Enslaved looked very drained on stage. They were laughing about it and talked about how hungover they were haha. Oh well one of my top five favorite bands of all time. 9/10

Amon Amarth changed a song around (didn't play We Shall Destroy and played Coming of the Tide). Their stage production was awesome and their set was a good mix as well. I believe if you're going to tour in support of an album then support it. So many bands release an album and maybe play two songs off of it. They played six and a good balance with the other albums expect for their early stuff. I honestly doubt they will ever top the 2011 tour when they played Surtur Rising in its entirety, and another headlining set, but this came pretty close to it. 9/10

Skeletonwitch:

The Horrifying Force (The Desire to Kill)
Serpents Unleashed
I Am of Death (Hell Has Arrived)
Sacrifice for the Slaughtergod
Beyond the Permafrost
From a Cloudless Sky
Crushed Beyond Dust
Beneath Dead Leaves
Within My Blood

Enslaved:

Death in the Eyes of Dawn
Ruun
Ethica Odini
RIITIIR
Allfağr Oğinn
Isa

Amon Amarth:

Father of the Wolf
Deceiver of the Gods
Death in Fire
Free Will Sacrifice
As Loke Falls
Coming of the Tide
Runes to My Memory
Varyags of Miklagaard
The Last Stand of Frej
Guardians of Asgaard
Shape Shifter
Warriors of the North
Destroyer of the Universe
Cry of the Black Birds
War of the Gods

Twilight of the Thunder God
The Pursuit of Vikings

I still think "Twilight" is a better last song than "Pursuit"

Unless they open with that song they shouldn't play it. I saw them play it in the middle of the set on the 2008 tour and it seemed very out of place. That song screams "concert opener".

And I'm sorry but that Enslaved set sucks. I know it's an opening set and they're always disappointing. But the fact that As Fire Swept Clean the Earth is now a distant memory, and that all you'll hear from Ruun and Isa are the title tracks ever again, makes me really sad. Their headlining sets in 2007 were so awesome.

Amon Amarth's shirts were all $25. They also had an awesome scarf for the same price, a $15 flag, a $50 hoodie, and a $100 hockey jersey

Enslaved's stuff was mostly $25 (I think, didn't really look)

Skeletonwitch's shirts were around $15

Justin, where in the venue were you? I decided to be lazy and sit down the whole time. It was my first time seeing Amon Amarth headline, and they didn't disappoint.

I decided to be lazy too. I was three rows back behind the sound board. You?

Might need to get that scarf, did anyone have long sleeve tees?

I could imagine it working well mid-set if it followed a slower song like Embrace of the Endless Ocean.
