ZZ Top -- Lincoln, RI -- November 15th, 2013
Always a good show from the Little Old Band From Texas!
The venue kind of sucks though - ok REALLY sucks!
First, it's a casino so it's the typical casino show, which is to say - short. they want your butts out there spending (losing) money not watching a band and having fun, dammit!
The room itself is basically a big conference room / function room, with a stage on one wall. The floor is completely flat, and they don't even stagger the seats. Even worse, when we got to our section near the back of the room, we were behind the video camera which was raised up on a platform at the mixing board. Depending on where you were in the group you had a more or less obstructed view of the stage, which was not mentioned when we bought the tickets. I went and found a manager to see if we could get moved. The came over and said that only the seats directly behind the cameras were considered "obstructed", and since we were further back, there was nothing they could do. Duh. It doesn't take a genius to see that on a flat floor, if the seats right behind something are obstructed, then the seats behind those will be too! Definitely not my favorite place to see a show.
Anyway... ZZ Top always seems to be having fun and got the crowd into it in the short (1h 20 min) set.

Agreed. And glad I'm not paying $100 per night for their 2-night stint here tomorrow.
the show was a total rip -off, they played for a grand total of 76 minutes. For a ticket that cost me $110, needless to say it will be the last time seeing em!

I blame the venue. Twin River SUCKS for shows. They need to step it up many notches if they want to compete with Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun for the entertainment dollars!
Every show I have seen there has been like that - the band always seems "rushed" to finish things up.
Wow, I guess I shouldn't take for granted the free show I saw them play around here. And then the other time it was only $10 or $15
