Lamb of God -- Sydney, Australia -- September 21st, 2013

The show ended up being a double headliner, with both bands having a 75 minute set. Incredibly happy about this as it was advertised as a LOG headlining tour and I was worried that Meshuggah would only get the usual 30 minute support set we normally get down under.

Meshuggah had a full stage production w/ banners, lights, etc. and absolutely stole the show. They played from 8.15 - 9.30.

Swarm
Combustion
Rational Gaze
obZen
Lethargica
Do Not Look Down
The Hurt that Finds You First
I Am Colossus
Bleed
Demiurge
New Millennium Cyanide Christ

Mind's Mirrors (over PA)
In Death - Is Life
In Death - Is Death
The Last Vigil (over PA)

LOG hit the stage at 10 and played through till 11.15. Michael Starr from Steel Panther came out during the encore as a surprise guest (promoting his tour here in December under the same touring company) and made Randy wear his blue sequin vest as a dare, pretty hilarious to see Randy perform Redneck in it to be honest!

Desolation
Ghost Walking
Walk with Me in Hell
Set to Fail
Ruin
Now You've Got Something to Die For
11th Hour
The Undertow
Omerta
Contractor

The Passing (over PA)
In Your Words
Laid to Rest
Redneck
Black Label

LOG setlist looks so blah, or maybe I've just seen it too many times.

Nice to see 11th hour being played. That song dissappeared from their set for quite some time.

I wish LOG would play The Number Six.

Meshuggah ending with a Catch 33 medley is AWESOME! Those songs totally destroy live.

They did in January in NYC when Resolution first came out! Almost positive they played it.

I wish they would just go away honestly. they have more then run their course as an interesting band and are in my eyes on the level of Disturbed now.

They did but it was only for a few shows if that.

Hopefully Lamb of God changes their set up a bit for the upcoming North America tour as this looks pretty routine.

Pretty sure my head would have pulled a "Scanners" after those 1st 5 Meshuggah songs. What a way to start a fucking set! WOW!

That's harsh. They're nowhere near as boring as Disturbed yet.

NickLed19 09-26-2013 09:58 AM

I wish LoG would play Vigil.

Strange. I seen them twice on the Resolution European tour, once at a festival, once headlining and both times The Number Six was played. If it made it's way onto a festival set then it should be played everywhere else.

They used, all the time. I'm happy with it being dropped finally.

I have to say it again: that encore is WAY too long.
coming back to The Passing & In Your Words? fine. closing with Black Label? just the way it always shall be.
but they REALLY need to move either Redneck or rather Laid up to properly close out the main set. I mean yeah Contractor is insane and all, but it just doesn't work as a closing song for me.
