Hatebreed -- Flint, MI -- January 26th, 2013
The Contortionist played 1st. This was my 3rd time seeing them, and I was super-psyched for their set. I thought they were fantastic, but the Hatebreed crowd was not that into them. Check 'em out. They're for fans of Between The Buried And Me or Animals As Leaders. I bought their new CD at the show but haven't listened to it yet. Their EXOPLANET album is amazing, though.

Next up was Dying Fetus. I wasn't expecting much, but they were way better than I expected them to be.

Shadows Fall were killer as usual. They;re just a great group of musicians w/ a fun live show.

Shadows Fall setlist

The Light That Blinds
The Idiot Box
Weight of the World
King of Nothing
Still I Rise
The Power of I and I
Fire From the Sky
Thoughts Without Words
Divide and Conquer
War (Bob Marley cover)

Hatebreed headlined. I've probably seen them 25x or more by now, and I honestly think this was the best show I've ever seen them play. The setlist was fantastic, and the sold out crowd was really into it, even the really old songs. I don't think I've heard them play "Burn The Lies" in many years. That made the night for me! I was surprised that they only played 2 songs from their new record, but this show was so awesome that I can't complain one bit. I already can't wait to see them in Toledo in April w/ After the Burial.

Hatebreed setlist

To The Threshold
Put It To The Torch
Tear It Down
Everyone Bleeds Now
In Ashes They Shall Reap
Burn The Lies
Last Breath
Smash Your Enemies
As Diehard As They Come
This Is Now
Empty Promises
Burial For The Living
A Call For Blood
Honor Never Dies
Under The Knife
Before Dishonor
Betrayed By Life
Live For This
I Will Be Heard
Destroy Everything

Stoked to see them for the first time in a few weeks.

I can't believe they're not playing Own Your World live yet. That song seems like it would be mind blowing live. Great setlist though!

You have my undying love for posting this as I am going to see this in Joliet today and setlistfm didn't have anything when I checked!

That Hatebreed setlist though!

The only thing it shares in common with the Marley song is the lyrics haha.

A simple "thanks" is good enough. I am flattered, but I don't need your undying love. : ) Have fun at the Joliet show. Just so you know, the HB set will be different, at least a little. They switch up their setlist every night.

Huge mistake.

I'll write a review for the show that was in Joliet last night. Just imagine though a small floor with 400 people packed tight into one huge pit.
