Gojira -- Vancouver, British Columbia -- January 19th, 2013
Perfection. I am in awe. This was truly the most wonderful and amazing concert experience of my entire life. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is impossible for me to imagine a performance being better than this. This is it.

Flying Whales
The Heaviest Matter of the Universe
L'Enfant Sauvage
The Art of Dying
Toxic Garbage Island
Wisdom Comes
[Drum Solo]
The Axe
Vacuity
The Gift of Guilt

Devin Townsend:
Planet of the Apes
Where We Belong
Lucky Animals

The show was completely sold out (~1200 people were there). Devin played a fantastic set for his hometown audience. Gojira demonstrated their unique ability to devour universes. I saw people weeping at the end of this performance.

Gojira themselves seemed to be incredibly impressed as well. The entire band was diving into the crowd and being carried by fans in celebration after their last song.

Please be kind enough to yourself and attend this tour if possible.

That large audience doesn't really surprise me. Gojira have massive audiences in larger cities and Devin is from BC, so it was basically a hometown show for him lol.

Sets keep looking better, I gotta say. Now, if only Gojira would start playing Space Time again...

I agree with someone on a previous thread for this tour that Devin should forego Planet of the Apes and add in a few more shorter songs.. don't get me wrong it's a great song but he's played it his last few times around and it would be nice to pepper in something different that he hasn't played in a while.. definitely looking forward to Liberation though if he plays it at the Philly show.. love that song and haven't seen it live yet
