mastodon421's End of the Year Shit That No One Cares About List-A-Thon!
Well everyone's most indifferent moment of the year has come.... It's time to post my year-end lists! In this thread you expect:
-My Top 45 albums with sure to be swell write-ups (I couldn't decide between 40 and 50, so I compromised at 45)
-The other 35 albums I heard this year w/star ratings (Spoiler Alert: Yellow and Green is at the bottom!)
-Top 10 Live Performances

-Bitching that I put Parkway Drive, Job For A Cowboy, and Whitechapel ahead of Meshuggah, Pig Destroyer, and Cannibal Corpse.
-And if we're lucky, other instances of bunched panties!;)

Respect your opinions, so I'll definately follow.
And so it begins....
45.JJ Doom-Key to the Kuffs
MF Doom is one of my favorite rappers of all-time. His super abstract style, clever lyics, and outstanding production usually ensure a spot in my year-end top 10. His newest project with Jneario Jarel isn't quite up to that level, but it's still a solid release. Jarel's production is a little less abstract than what we normally get on Doom's record. It took a little bit of getting used to, but Jarel's production is great. Doom isn't quite as sharp as he once was lyrically, but he still comes with plenty of witty lines. Key to the Kuffs isn't Doom's strongest material, but it's another worthwhile release from hip-hop's resident supervillian.
1.Wash Your Hands
2.'Bout the Shoes
That first list already got panties all bunched up big time.
44.The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza-Danza IIII: The Alpha-The Omega
The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza has never been band I've been a big fan of. Their older material was a little bit too scattered and unfocused (even for mathcore) for me to get really into. They finally get it right on their fourth (and unfortunately) final album. Don't get wrong it's still a chaotic record, The chaos is just more streamlined and refined. Josh Travis is an incredible guitar player and his high-flying guitar acrobatics are the main attraction of this record. The dude does wonders with all 8 strings and he actually throws some occasional melody (best used on the 7-minute instrumental cut "Paul Bunyan and The Blue Ox") in with his usual technical prowess which was cool. Danza definitely goes out on top with their most mature and easily best record of their career. A very pleasant surprise.
3.Paul Buyan and the Blue Ox
These guys are breaking up? Such a shame :tp:

With the exception of a few on here I haven't seen many who weren't disapointed by Soundgarden.

And rightfully so.
And rightfully so.
This, It's such a bland record. Way too many slow songs that don't go anywhere and not nearly enough uptempo tracks.
