YourTicketHookup

Having grown tired of StubHub, my partner and I started a ticket resale website called, you guessed it, YourTicketHookup. People don't go to StubHub or Ticketmaster because they like the company, they go because these two companies (particularly Ticketmaster) just so happen to have the supply that they demand. We believe in actually giving a good service.

The way our business operates is we have real-time inventory of tickets from all around the U.S. available for the grand majority of concerts, sports games, and theater shows. The main point that I want to resonate with every one is our philosophy of treating the customer right, erego giving nice discounts. The promo that is going on right now is available by applying "5PERCENT" to your checkout order. Take a wild guess as to how much you get off.

Our whole model is going to be about recurring discounts, predetermined appropriately of course. I figured that at the very least everyone here knows that I'm not some bot spamming the site, or a guy who does nothing but post here and advertise. Having been on the site for a while now, albeit not posting too often, hopefully gives me a platform of moderate reputability. I know that the majority of the people on this board go to shows often, so I figured this would be an obvious outlet for the business. So check out the site, it would be incredible if you could like the Facebook page, and if you like what you see sign up for our newsletter in the righthand column for exclusive savings later down the road. Thanks for taking your time, if you have any questions or inquiries don't hesitate to PM me.

P.S. - Just to show how serious I am about this, I'll disclose a helpful tip about the site that potentially wouldn't be obvious at first glance: if you're willing to stomach the risk, buy the tickets the day of or close to the day of the event for prices below face value. Sellers that need to liquidate their inventory will do whatever it takes, and more often that not I see this occurring. Just to give an example, take a look at Aerosmith tickets at Madison Square Garden this upcoming Tuesday.

Including our discount, we beat out StubHub for the same seats. Frankly, even without the discount we beat them out due to our lower fees. Nevertheless, you get a much better deal unless you just want to pay more to StubHub. Also, cheapest after-fees Ticketmaster tickets are at $63.50. Hard to argue with those results. I'm well aware this is one example out of potential hundreds, but I can confidently say scenarios like this one are echoed enough to warrant attention. Sorry for the long P.S., and I sincerely thank you if you read this all. Every person counts!

So is this a re-sale site, or a vendor?

SerpentineVIVIVI 11-18-2012 10:53 AM

Ticket resale. We have real time inventory from brokers all around the secondary market.

So you started it yourself? That's pretty cool.

My partner and I collaborated on this together, with me moreso bringing different perspectives and insight to the table. He had been formulating this for quite some time, just never gathered enough momentum to really take it forward.

So, are you preventing people from marking up well above face value?

ravenheart 11-18-2012 04:48 PM

Also, who are SITE?

;)

Thank you kindly for pointing that out! There are constant things that are being missed, such as small things like that.

As for your question, alas we cannot prevent higher markups, and it is highly likely that that will remain for high demand shows. However, as it says in the FAQ (and what I said in my first post), odds are not out of your favor that tickets will be below face value as the event nears. Simple supply and demand. In fact we recommend that people go a few days before and do some exploring to find some great deals (an echo of my P.S. above).
