Holy Grail -- Burlington, VT -- November 13th, 2012
The original bill was Holy Grail/Amadis/Made In Iron. Cattle Decapitation was added and became the headliner
Made in Iron is not the best tribute band, but it is always good to start the night with some classic Maiden Aces High Revelations:rocker::rocker: The Trooper Number of The Beast Hallowed Be Thy Name Run To The Hills Wrathchild Amadis is the best metal band in the area!! Heavy Metal World Shark Attack Archalus Hell Devil Throne of Blood:rocker::rocker: I am missing one song. I don't know the titles of the new songs. These guys are great!! Fine classic metal with some good uptempo songs. By the time they finished the venue was a full as it got. Holy Grail has been on my radar for some time. I am glad they played locally! Chase The Wind Ride The Void Call of Valhalla Dark Messenger:rocker::rocker: Fight To Kill My Last Attack I missed the first song. The sound was pretty bad through most of the set. The band did their best, and the crowd and I thought they were great! Dark Messenger is a great song! I left before Cattle Decapitation. Holy Grail got done a bit before midnight. Since it was a school night, I wanted to get some sleep. Having Made In Iron and Amadis play really helped buoy this show. The merch was reasonable. Holy Grail has a couple of T-shirts and CDs and 45s. Cattle Decapitation had a good selection of shirts, music, koozies, and Garbage Pail Kids stickers. If this is the amount of merch they brought with them on the SFU tour I am not sure what the issue was. The merch didn't take up that much area. The main reason I write this review is Amadis. They are a really great band and they play gigs throughout New England. They have also played a festival in Ohio the past two years. Check them out if you can!! |
Wow, that's a weird bill for Cattle Decapitation to hop on. I guess they were pretty much looking for any shows, but still.
Also, that is a pretty lame tribute band set. |
I REALLY want to see Holy Grail as a headliner, they are a great band imo
