Kamelot -- St Petersburg, FL -- September 10th, 2012

Kamelot - My second time seeing the band, and they were even better live this time around. We got to meet them before the show and interviewed Thomas Youngblood, the band's guitarist and founding member/main guy in the band. The new female singer they have is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, and she sings beautifully and can play drums too (She played percussion on one song), I definitely plan on seeing them again one day. - 9/10

War Of Thrones - This band was pretty boring and kept messing up over and over again, in fact 2 of the 4 members were just fill ins. - 3/10

Seven Kingdoms - Local band, they live about 10 minutes from me, they're so good live it's ridiculous, they had i think the best crowd reaction a local band has gotten (That I've ever seen), look them up if you like Nightwish/Evanescence. - 7.5/10

Opening band who idk their name - Sounded like a Pat Benatar ripoff trying to play metal, needless to say they sucked - 1/10

The drum head and setlist are signed by 5/6 members, i was not able to get the singer, but I'll try again at their show w/ Nightwish.

Shit, I better get a ticket to this. I love Sean Has Fun! How was the new singer's stage presence? Hate to be one of "those people" but I lost interest in seeing these guys live when Khan left. They were fantastic back in 2008 though.

So you've seen them with Tommy before, or Kahn or Fabio?

Wanting to know what to compare it to... going to their show on FRIDAY

TheNobleFaceHumper 09-11-2012 02:47 PM

Tommy was MUCH better than i was expecting him to be, and the female singer they currently have Elize Ryd(also in the band Amaranthe, look them up!) has such an incredibly beautiful yet haunting voice, not to mention she's absolutely gorgeous

They are definitely still worth seeing live, the new song sounded sick too, I don't think I'll ever not like them, regardless who comes and goes.

I saw them with Kahn before, and even though i enjoy the Kahn studio stuff the best, i think Tommy is better live personally, they're so close you can't tell much difference.

The female vocalist in this band is the girl who is touring with Kamelot for now.

After seeing this setlist, I'm not too sorry I'm missing this tour. It's basically identical to what they played on the last tour, plus some new shit. For whatever reason, I was thinking they'd bust out some older songs on this tour, to show off the new singer's range. Oh well.

This. I think its disappointing on how much they skip out on pre-TBH songs. I think Tommy would be amazing singing songs off Fourth Legacy

Exactly! 'The Fourth Legacy' is an amazing album. There are some great, energetic songs from that one that would sound killer live, like the title track, 'The Shadow of Uther', and 'Until Kingdom Come'. Also, 'Epica' needs more representation than just 'Center of the Universe'. 'III Ways to Epica', anyone?
