Megadeth started to used screens proyecting the stories of each songs on them, was pretty cool. I met David Ellefson and Shawn Drover yesteday, very cool guys.

I have been going on this website for years. This is the first time I've seen a Megadeth set (full album set tours not included) that did not open with Trust.

Second set is cool, weird that they decided to bust out I Ain't Superstitious. Maybe it's because they'll be doing all of Peace Sells next week?

cristianrock 09-08-2012 09:50 PM

On the bill, they said that the second show was going to be about Peace Sells, but Dave said he wasn't going to play all the songs, because he's christian now and when he was young didn't care the message that the fans recieved with this darker obscure songs, and now he's more aware of that and more careful about it.

Bottom line, 3 songs of Peace Sells, in a show who was sold as the Peace Sells 25th anniversary.

Oh, I thought that was next week.

Bah, Dave is just a constant disappointment nowadays.

Fuck you Dave, you should be forced to play The Conjuring every night for the rest of your career.

Yeah what are you talking about. They've only been opening with Trust since 2011. Lately, Never Dead has usually been the opener. If you've been coming to this site for years now, you would have surely known that they've opened with other stuff over the years other than Trust.

Hell, I remember a couple years back we used to complain that Wake Up Dead was overused as an opener.

DisposableJustice 09-08-2012 11:14 PM

Come on dave, can't even do Devil's Island, or My last words at least

what da fuck:bouville:

that's what you get when you say "certain" songs I guess:hmm:

anomynous 09-08-2012 11:40 PM

Of course people on the Megadeth forums are blaming the promoters, and not the band.

hellawaits77ny 09-08-2012 11:50 PM

WOw, they're breakin out some cool stuff@

Astennu 09-09-2012 04:04 AM

I would have thought his born again shit would only keep them from play The Conjuring, Black Friday and Bad Omen. Guess not. How disappointing. Glad I got to see them play two of those three way back in the day on the Rust in Peace tour. It will never happen again.

He has played My Last Words and Devils Island since becoming a Super-Christian. I guess he just didn't want to do them for this show, because his cover of I Ain't Superstitious is obviously far superior.

IrritatedTrout 09-09-2012 07:01 AM

 @ playing I Ain't Superstitious at a show billed as highlighting Peace Sells. I never had high hopes for that, I knew it was just a promo trick. Neither set is bad though, but the first night is far superior.

JRA 09-09-2012 07:40 AM

Forgot to add "for spewing Alex Jones' blasphemy."

Also, Dave has definitely played Devil's Island since turing to Hay-Zeus. I witnessed it, and it was one of the highlights of the show.

MetalDoug 09-09-2012 08:39 AM

Dave, they're only songs, playing them wouldn't necessarily mean an insult to God or Jesus. I'm sure people who write songs or make movies about the evil in the world don't really want to spread a message of evil.

As long as you stay true to your beliefs, i'm sure God won't condemn you for playing those songs. So ... please make your fans happy by playing The Conjuring and those other songs we wanna hear :rocker:
