Of course people on the Megadeth forums are blaming the promoters, and not the band.

WOw, they're breakin out some cool stuff@

I would have thought his born again shit would only keep them from play The Conjuring, Black Friday and Bad Omen. Guess not. How disappointing. Glad I got to see them play two of those three way back in the day on the Rust in Peace tour. It will never happen again.

He has played My Last Words and Devils Island since becoming a Super-Christian. I guess he just didn't want to do them for this show, because his cover of I Ain't Superstitious is obviously far superior. |
 @ playing I Ain't Superstitious at a show billed as highlighting Peace Sells. I never had high hopes for that, I knew it was just a promo trick. Neither set is bad though, but the first night is far superior.

Forgot to add "for spewing Alex Jones' blasphemy."
Also, Dave has definitely played Devil's Island since turing to Hay-Zeus. I witnessed it, and it was one of the highlights of the show. |
Dave, they're only songs, playing them wouldn't necessarily mean an insult to God or Jesus. I'm sure people who write songs or make movies about the evil in the world don't really want to spread a message of evil.
As long as you stay true to your beliefs, i'm sure God won't condemn you for playing those songs. So ... please make your fans happy by playing The Conjuring and those other songs we wanna hear :rocker: |
