Shinedown: 4 albums, highest one charting at #4, combined sales of 3 million in the states.
Godsmack: 5 albums, last 3 consecutively debuting at #1, combined sales of 8.5 million in the states. Last headlining tour in support of a new album, Shinedown didn't even sell out a 1,500 capacity club in Rhode Island, whereas Godsmack had no trouble putting 6,000 asses in the seats of the Tsongas Arena. In no way, shape or form is Shinedown a bigger band than Godsmack. |
I am just a huge fan of the direction Shinedown is going. They act like they never made the first 2 records.
This. They aren't even bothering playing a song off Us and Them which I think is sad. Really glad I saw them in 2008, back when they were still doing Left Out, Burning Bright and Heroes. |
I meant I am not a huge fan. Those songs plus Save Me and I Dare You. Its truly lame. Those first 2 albums are really solid.

That is odd no Gun Show from In This Moment

Agree 100%, the same can be said for A7X but you can say the first 5 records with them. |

A7X switches it up some though, remember they had fans vote for the setlist last year. They played songs from all the records. |

And Shinedown was selling out pretty much every venue this year. Shinedown is just way bigger on the radio. They had 5 #1 singles on the last album.
