P.O.D. -- Flint, MI -- May 17th, 2012
I got there late & walked in during Love & Death's set. I caught their last few songs. They were pretty cool. They did an instrumental medly of KoRn songs (Got the Life, Here to Stay, Freak on a Leash, Falling Away From Me) and then ended their set w/ a cover of "Blind." I was kind of hoping that they wouldn't play the KoRn card, but they did, and the crowd really enjoyed that, so I guess that was kinda cool. The songs I saw were

Whip It (Devo cover)
KoRn instrumental medly
Blind (KoRn cover)

Next up was the band Red. I had never seen them before. They were kinda cool. I'd see them again.

P.O.D. headlined, and I was super-excited for their set b/c this was the 1st time I'd seen them since their headlining tour in 2004 w/ Hazen Street and Lacuna Coil. It was a sold out show. They played a bunch of songs from their forthcoming new CD, which was pretty cool. By the 2nd song of the set Sonny was already singing while standing on the shoulders of the crowd. The highlight of the set was "Youth of the Nation." That's not really one of my favorite P.O.D. songs, but hearing the whole audience sing the chorus was awesome! I also loved "Southtown" & "Without Jah, Nothin'." I already cannot wait to see them this summer on the Uproar festival w/ Shinedown, Papa Roach, Staind, In This Moment, Thousand Foot Krutch, etc. Setlist:

Murdered Love (new song)
Set it Off
Without Jah, Nothin'
Eyez (new song)
Babylon the Murderer (new song)
Roots in Stereo
Youth of the Nation
On Fire (new song)
Panic & Run (new song)
Lost in Forever (new song)

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:50 PM.
