Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers -- Albuquerque, NM -- April 24th, 2012
I know this is a Metal site, but Tom is a rock and roll legend. I've been listening to Tom since I was four, and this marks my first experience seeing him live. The man has got his energy and voice after all of these years. The crowd in the coliseum was louder than ever and sang every memorable song with Tom. One of the best live shows I've seen.

I went with my older brother. His very first concert was Tom Petty when he saw him many years ago, around the age of 7. I noticed a lot of parents brought some of their youngins that looked to be from ages 6-10 for the experience. I'm sure that was their children's first concert as well. I'm happy Tom is still kicking ass, and still performing for all that have grown (and will grow) to love his memorable tunes. |
I really wish Tom Petty would play amphitheaters instead of arenas all the time. I just can't afford tickets to arena shows, whereas I can grab a lawn ticket for super cheap at an amphitheater and still get a great view. Regardless of this issue though, this looks like a cool set although I think I saw on another forum that he was playing more songs on the first couple of dates.

WOW, thats a pretty damn killer Petty set, ive seen him twice and The Heartbreakers always deliver! Joe Cocker opened for him last time.
