34. Tyler The Creator -- Goblin
35. Red Hot Chili Peppers -- I'm With You
36. Times Of Grace -- Hymn Of A Broken Man
My top 22 will all get their own post and a short review.
22. Journey -- Eclipse
I'm sure a lot of you are saying in your head "Journey? really?" But I am willing to bet every person who says that isn't familiar with them outside of Don't Stop Believing. A Journey fan like myself knows that Steve Perry wasn't the only Journey singer, the other singers that Journey had were less poppy and more proggy, and this album is one of those. Journey's heaviest and most aggressive outing yet, not their best but definitely worthy of plenty of praise.
21. Frank Ocean -- Nostalgia/Ultra
Everyone who has followed popular music over the past year has definitely become familiar with Tyler The Creator and his group OFWGKTA, Frank Ocean is easily the most soulful member of the group and is a breath of fresh air from the usual in your face hip hop approach of the other members. Frank Ocean brings an intensely emotional R&B aesthetic approach to this group of talented young rappers, the whole album is consistent and a throwback to the old R&B singers like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and my personal favorite Otis Redding.
20. Senmuth -- Enigmatic Nubian Mask
To the five people paying attention to my list, you already see 2 Senmuth albums on my list, this is the third and after this there will be 6 more, now you are probably thinking "what the hell, who are these guys?". Well they are not a them, they are a he, yes one man who makes experimental music, he is named Senmuth and he is from Russia, he will on average puts out 15 albums a year for the sole reason that he admittedly has a short attention span. What this album brings is a completely instrumental album with 5 tracks, this is one of his more Traditional album, a very folk oriented album.
19. Obscura -- Omnivium
Wow, this album paints a picture in my mind that all other death metal just can't do for me, and that is all due to the fretless bass that Jeroen Paul Thesseling plays, now this album wasn't as good as Cosmogenesis in my opinion. My favorite song on the Album was by far Velocity, with the Buckethead sounding solo that just melts my brain.
Obscura and Brad Paisley in the same list makes my brain hurt. :hecho:
Dude, I know you have diverse tastes, but seriously.
I've never sat down and listened to one of Brad Paisley's albums, but that one song he sang with Allison Krauss was great.
