Lincoln's Kick-Ass 2011 Thread: Top Albums, Gigs, and More Fun Lists!

Alright, so seeing as how December is right around the corner, I'm going to start my first-ever end of the year thread! :boxer: Starting December 1st I'll be counting down from my #30 album of the year to my favorite album of the year (on the 31st of course) along with some little fun lists that I'll post tomorrow and after tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be writing much, especially for the albums - I'm too lazy to write reviews or whatnot. But for those who do end up keeping an eye on this thread, feel free to pitch in with whatever comments you do have!

Note: Lists concerning shows will not include the shows I'll be attending in December; those being Dark Tranquillity, Paul McCartney, and two Kylesa gigs.

So, to cut the red ribbon on this motherfucker, here's your first mini-list:

Five Most Extreme/Insane Gigs Of The Year

1. Fucked Up (Canada) August 23rd
2. Napalm Death (United Kingdom) September 28th
3. GWAR (USA) June 26th
4. The Black Dahlia Murder (USA) May 16th
5. Exhumed (USA) August 4th

Honorary Mention: Meshuggah (Sweden) April 3rd

:fist:

OH wtf? Really? I heard from a lot of people that they put on a pretty HEAVY show. Tom G. suck on the mic stand that night or something?

What made Altar of Plagues disappointing?

Eh, I didn't really like it. On record they're mind-blowing but seeing them live just gave me a headache, and not the awesome kind (like the one YOB live gives).

The atmosphere wasn't appropriate for their show, the sound was pretty bad, and IMHO Earth: as a Womb didn't translate well live.

I am disappoint on Triptykon. They might have been best show of 2010 for me. Might have been a bad night or something. I will be following this thread however.
