After seeing Opeth on saturday, I feel so stupid for skipping out on this show 3 years ago...I can only hope they do something similar on their next US tour.

Not a big Opeth fan but fuck that's a good set. Throw in Ghost of Perdition and that's near perfect.

The only time I ever saw them before Saturday was at SOTU in '05... They kicked ass, but they only played 4 songs. I totally should have gone to this.

I've got high hopes that they're gonna ready the heavies for their next tour though. I really don't think Mellopeth is going to be a permanent thing.

Hopefully that's what they do. They're playing a lot of songs from the new album on this tour, so I'm hoping next time around they will only play two or three tops and focus on their back catalog. There are just so many great possibilities for an Opeth set.

I read they're coming back to the states in the spring. I as well hope for a heavier set. The show here is Saturday night, and I'm psyched for it as always, but honestly would be more psyched if it was a more traditional set. Not excited to hear drunk assholes yell for Demon of the Fall all night.

Not to mention that this show was with Baroness and High on Fire.

Saw this tour w/ High On Fire in Vancouver. So worthy, Axenrot on drums is quite something to see.
