The Sword -- Burlington, VT -- September 19th, 2011
The line-up was;
Made in Iron( Local Maiden cover band)
The Sword

Made In Iron-

Aces High
2 Minutes To Midnight
The Trooper
The Evil That Men Do
Run To The Hills
The Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name

These guys are pretty good. The band is tight. The singer needs to sing from a lower region of his body. I am not sure why he dressed like Hong Kong Phooey? He did have his replica Samurai sword next to the flag during the Trooper. Odd........

I did not like this band. No idea what they played

The Sword-

I am getting old and I forget songs in order, plus I started rockin' out and yelling for Iron Swan(!). I will give you a pretty good list, but there maybe some errors.

How Heavy This Axe
Arrows in The Dark
Bareal's Blade
Lawless Lands:party:
Winter Wolves
Fire Lances
Sea of Spears
The Warp Riders
Night City:party:
The Horned Godess
The Chromancer Part I
Iron Swan:rocker:

This list is out of order except for the first and last song. They sounded great! They played for about 75 minutes. Too bad Kyuss took the night off......

Great set! You didn't get The Horned Goddess, though. :D

Awesome band. Can't wait to see them headline again.

hey. what was the song they did in the encore, the song they did before the encore, and the first song? if you know.

putting up my review later, so busy

Fuckin' awesome show! First band was a local Iron Maiden tribute band by the name of Made in Iron (just got that pun HURR DURR) They were alright, guy's voice wasn't great, and he looked like a fat Bret Michaels. He actually asked for a pit

MonstrO was pretty damn impressive. Psychedelic stoner-rock with some crunchy metal riffs thrown in. Their sound was equal parts Tool, Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath. In fact, on their dreamier-sounding songs, they kinda sounded like Incubus crossed with, say, Sleep. An interesting collision of styles, to say the least ;)

Now, for The Sword... well, they are just the most consistently amazing live bands I've ever seen, period. Even with me knowing the songs they played this time, they were fantastic! Also, the moshing was so much fun. I fell on my ass and it feels like I got surprise buttsecks, though... :(

Venue was alright, sound was pretty solid. It was set up like a movie theater walking in, though; there was a booth where I got my ticket, then I showed it to a guy and he put x's on my hands, and then a lady checked my pockets  wtf... I applaud them on having a water cooler inside with cups, though :D

I'll link you guys to my newspaper review when it's up! ...if they don't decide to not publish on account of it sucking...

If it's the same as their last headlining tour, it's "I Need More Time" by The Meters.

Source: they tweeted me :3

I am fuzzy on a few details, but we did get Horned Godess. I was there.
